Peachtree Immediate Care, the exclusive urgent care partner of the Emory Healthcare Network, is helping Atlanta companies develop and execute plans to return employees to work sooner and safer from the COVID-19 pandemic. Their solutions include COVID-19 testing both on-site at an employer’s office, facility, or plant and at any of Peachtree Immediate Care’s ten (10) drive-thru testing centers conveniently located throughout the Atlanta area, as well as care for employees that test positive and advice on how to return that patient to work in accordance with guidance from the CDC.
“As Georgia started to ease Shelter in Place directives, we heard from many of our employer clients that were seeking testing and care solutions that would not only protect their employees but also give the returning employees the confidence that they were returning to a safe environment,” stated Bill Miller, CEO of CRH Healthcare, the parent company of Peachtree Immediate Care.
COVID-19 testing is crucial and is the anchor of Peachtree Immediate Care’s offering, Miller explained. They use a PCR test, which has the highest accuracy in the industry and is processed by a nationally accredited laboratory. Testing is available for an employer with just twenty employees or more than a thousand and results typically take about 72 hours to report back to the employee. Importantly, with the employee’s consent, results are also available to the employer giving them a full picture of the infection prevalent upon return.
For employees that test positive, Peachtree Immediate Care can schedule and conduct telemedicine visits to help evaluate, treat and monitor them until it is appropriate to return to work in accordance with the CDC’s guidance and the employer’s policies.
Employers are also looking for guidance on how to mitigate the risk of spreading the virus in the workplace and education for their leadership teams on viral transmission, infectivity concerns, and additional testing options like antibodies. Mr. Miller followed up, “Our team has the expertise to provide these solutions for area employers and we believe this is our way to help the Atlanta community recover from this devastating pandemic.”
