Life Time and Life Time Work will open its 90,000-square-foot luxury athletic country club and 30,000-square-foot premium coworking destination on December 8 at Phipps Plaza. It is being billed as ‘Atlanta’s newest athletic and social destination.
The 65-foot facility covers five stories and is the largest Life Time sign in the company’s portfolio. It will feature boutique programs, industry-leading amenities, dedicated fitness studios, an expansive workout floor and an amazing rooftop pool, and beach club.
CEO Bahram Akradi says Life Time isn’t just a gym. It’s intended to serve a similar purpose as a country club.
Since entering the Atlanta market in 2006, Lifetime already operates clubs in Atlanta’s northern suburbs, including Sandy Springs, Johns Creek and Alpharetta.
“There’s such an expansive array of things we offer that people quickly realize it’s not the place they’ve been working out,” he said. “It’s not their Orange Theory or LA Fitness. It’s a destination, a space where you can spend an entire day.”
